In this new and interactive camp for young actors; participants will work with masks, animals, creatures, and people masks) to explore the world of characterization and movement.
The use of group- created music, improvisation and ensemble-building will also be integrated into the daily schedule. The camp members will create their stories with the help of a master teaching artist based on the characters they create and present them for family and friends on the final day!

Teresa DeBerry

Teresa DeBerry has been a theater educator and professional actor, director, and choreographer throughout the Eastern United States for 40 years. She taught for the Alliance Theater in Atlanta for 20 years; where she was part of the team that created and implementing their most successful summer theater performance program for young actors. Teresa also created and taught the first professional teen ensemble in Atlanta for Horizon Theater Company. She taught Theater and Dance full time for The Westminster Schools, where she also was part of the team that created Odyssey, a performing arts inspired summer enrichment program for inner city students ages 8–18. As a professional actor Teresa has performed with The Alliance Theater, Bay Street Theater, Cleveland Play House, Georgia Shakespeare, Cleveland Public Theater, Karamu Theater, Theater Emory, Oberlin Summer Theater Festival, Theater in the Square, and Horizon Theater, among many others.
