Now in it's 10th year, Literature Live! has brought great literary works to life on stage for Long Island audiences including over 53 schools, from Wyandanch to Montauk. Literature Live! brings the power of the word from the page to the stage. Using curriculum-based literature, Bay Street Theater creates a unique learning experience by bringing professional theater artists together to present first class productions. With help from Century Arts Foundation and Bay Street's Board of Trustees, any amount you contribute will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000!

Support the arts and Sag Harbor's community center. Your gift will help us to continue our mission to entertain, inspire and enhance the cultural arts for the entire East End.
As part of the larger vision for the theater, we have established the New Directions Fund, whose income is earmarked for supporting the exploration of new theater work, creating the next generation of classics. This distinctive giving opportunity enables supporters of Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts to directly fund the implementation and enhancement of new productions and programs such as Bay Street’s Mainstage performances (including this year’s production of the world premiere of The Forgotten Woman), the Bay Street Theater New Works Festival (which debuted in April of 2014 and will run this year from April 28 - 30), and Bay Street Theater's free outdoor staged readings for the public. Your support will allow Bay Street Theater to ensure the development and enhance the presentation of new productions, performances, and events across the theatrical spectrum that will attract, entertain, and inspire our audiences.
New Works Festival, is committed to developing new work and providing a home for participating artists to explore and expand their creative impulses and inspirations. The Workshops will bring a group of artists including writers, actors and directors to Bay Street where they will be given the opportunity to focus on developing their project for one week ending with a public presentation for our audience on the Saturday evening. With the initiation of New Works Festival, Bay Street will further its mission and contribute in a more concentrated and effective way to the continuation and expansion of new works, the artists' commitment to their craft and the audience's participation in the process. New Works Festival are made possible through the generous support of The Lucille Lortel Foundation.
