Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown comes to Bay Street for a special one-night-only Music Mondays concert event. Best known for The Last Five YearsParadeSongs for a New World13The Bridges of Madison County, and more, Brown has helped define the sound of contemporary musical theater with songs that are emotionally rich, musically sophisticated, and deeply human.

Music Mondays offers an ideal setting for this intimate evening, giving audiences the chance to experience extraordinary artists up close in Bay Street’s 299-seat theater. Brown brings not only his celebrated music, but also the wit, warmth, and storytelling that make his concerts feel personal, immediate, and unforgettable.

Carrie St. Louis

Vocalist

Carrie St. Louis is a Broadway actress and singer, who is currently starring as Sandra Dee in Just in Time on Broadway. She most recently originated the role of Dolly in the World Premiere of Dolly: A True Original Musical, written and produced by Dolly Parton herself. Carrie is best known for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked on Broadway and in the National Tour, as well as Lauren in the Tony award winning musical, Kinky Boots, on Broadway. She made her Broadway debut as Sherrie in Rock of Ages after originating the role in the Las Vegas production at the Venetian Hotel. Off Broadway, she opened the hit musical, Titanique at the Daryl Roth Theater as Rose. She starred as Annette in Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical, and her voice is featured on the Billboard-topping Original Cast Recording. Other favorite roles include Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and Cathy in The Last Five Years. Her television credits include The Good Fight (Paramount+), Elementary (CBS), Blindspot (NBC), and Younger (TV Land). A graduate of the USC Thornton School of Music, Carrie tours her solo show, Something Good, across the U.S. and is a sought-after vocal coach in NYC.

Sam Minaie

Sam Minaie is an Iranian-American electric and upright bassist, producer and recording engineer based out of New York City well known for his versatility and unique style of playing and production throughout many different genres. Sam has played or recorded with many bands and artists across the world including Tigran Hamasyan, Melody Gardot, Jason Robert Brown, Kneebody, Brad Shepik, Donny McCaslin, Jean-Michel Pilc, Dhafer Youssef, Believers, Tim Miller, Charlie Haden’s Liberation Orchestra and dozens of other groups.

Hidayat Honari is a Canadian guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, currently based in New York City. He has performed in over 30 countries and all 50 US states. He currently performs on the tenor banjo in the orchestra at the iconic Broadway show CHICAGO.

Called “a force on the rise” by JazzTimes magazine, Alison Shearer’s explosive career hits refresh on what it means to be a jazz saxophonist today. Shearer has performed across the United States, Europe, Canada, and South Asia, both with her quartet and as a member of Red Baraat and Sunny Jain’s Wild Wild East. She has performed with notable artists such as Kurt Elling, Nate Smith, Charlie Hunter, Ben Platt, Billy Porter, Kelli O’Hara, Jason Robert Brown, Josh Groban, and the wonderful Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Shearer’s first record, View From Above, was named top ten albums of the year by NPR Music in 2022, which led to a record deal with Pinch Records and a flurry of commissions; her second album In The Garden was released in 2025. ROCO Symphony in Houston Texas commissioned Shearer’s first orchestral work, which will be a saxophone concerto based on the abstract artwork of her late father, acclaimed LIFE photojournalist, John Shearer. The piece will be premiered at the opening of their 2026 - 2027 season.
