Replacement for “Jean”
Description
Ingenue. The Narrator’s mother in 1942. An idealist and optimist whose insatiable curiosity allows her to see the best in people. An aspiring actress with enough talent to work steadily but not break through to the stardom she aspires to. Her letters are filled with genuine inquiry without judgement and an elevated sense of style and language the way only a 1940’s actor speaks.
