This fun and supportive class helps young singers build strong, healthy voices all while gaining confidence as performers! Students will learn age-appropriate vocal technique through physical warm-ups, breathing exercises, and vocal exercises designed to develop strength, flexibility, and ease in the voice. We will also work on songs (repertoire,) and performance skills, giving students the chance to express themselves and sing with confidence! Perfect for young performers who love to sing, and want to learn how to use their voices safely and joyfully!

ABOUT ADELAIDE MESTRE:
Adelaide is an actress, singer, writer, and solo show performer. She began her career at The Public Theatre where at 14 she had her first job as an actress in a musical and worked with Joseph Papp. Since then she has performed in numerous theatrical productions, musicals, cabarets and films including Woody Allen’s Husbands and Wives.
Adelaide has written and performed several solo shows including: Dead Mosquito at Emerging Artists Theatre’s One Woman Standing Festival and Out of Step at Where Eagles Dare Theatre. Her ten-minute play, It’s My Amygdala was produced at the Estrogenius Festival and the SoHo Playhouse. Her award-winning musical memoir Top Drawer was first presented at the Midtown International Theatre Festival as a work in progress, at the New York International Fringe, at The American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora in Miami and most recently at the prestigious new arts venue The Church in Sag Harbor.
In 2021, she starred as Rebecca in an online Zoom presentation of David Lindsay Abaire’s Rabbit Hole who said, Truly amazing. The play was so well-served.
Adelaide has been featured in The Miami Herald, Real Simple, The East Hampton Star, HuffPo and The Sag Harbor Express and The New York Post. Her writing has been published in the YourTango, Fatherly and The Washington Post.
