Ticket Info and Etiquette

Preamble:

The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure a respectful and enjoyable theatrical experience for all patrons, performers, and staff.

  • Please note the following
    • Be sure to allow additional time to park in Sag Harbor.
    • Arrive in the Lobby at the theater at least 20-30 minutes before the scheduled curtain time. This allows ample time for ticket collection and finding your seat.
    • The theater is kept at a cool temperature for the Actors, and some of our guests find it helpful to bring a sweater or a wrap to stay warm. 
    • If you arrive late to the show, you will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager.
    • The Lobby Bar at Bay Street is open 1 hour before curtain. Drinks and snacks from the Lobby Bar are allowed in the theater during performances. No outside food or beverages are permitted.
    • Assisted listening devices are available at the box office.
    • Please sit in the seats designated on your tickets. If you are having trouble finding your seats, one of our ushers or the house manager will be happy to help you.
    • We respect our guests. We appreciate being treated with the same.
    • Bay Street Theater Gift Cards make a wonderful gift and can be issued in any denomination. For information or to purchase Gift Cards please contact the Box Office.
  • Ticket Policy
    • All sales are Final. Refunds are not available. If you are unable to use your ticket, please consider giving your ticket to a friend or family member. You may also donate your ticket back to the theater.
    • Exchanges are at the discretion of the Theater and are subject to a $10.00 minimum or 15% fee per ticket, whichever is GREATER (based upon availability). Exchanges are not available AFTER show date and time.
    • You may be asked to show a photo I.D. or a credit card to pick up your tickets.
    • Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult over 21.
  • Fees
    • 5% Convenience Fee per order paid by Credit Card (Online, Phone, Walk-Up) for single tickets to all shows year round, including concerts, comedy, films, off-season productions, summer mainstage shows, and tickets for education workshops.
    • 5% Convenience Fee per subscription, week long camps, or multi-session classes paid by Credit Card (Online, Phone, Walk-Up) for Summer Mainstage Subscriptions, Camps or Classes that include two or more sessions.
  • Camps and Classes
    • Bay Street Theater does not issue Refunds (or partial Refunds) for Camps, Classes or Workshops if a registrant does not attend, misses a session, arrives late, or withdraws early. If a registrant does not attend a camp that is confirmed to occur, Bay Street Theater, at its sole discretion, may offer a credit for a future camp. Exchanges or exceptions to this policy are at the discretion of the Theater and are subject to fees (15%) of total paid.
    • If a camp is canceled by Bay Street Theater, registrants will be notified and reimbursed by Bay Street Theater.  
  • Group Rates and Discounts
    • All discounts are only available through the Box Office (not online). Please ASK for Discounts at time of purchase.  Discounts are NOT retroactive. For more information, please call the Box Office at 631-725-9500.
    • Groups of 10 or more may receive 10% discounts on ticket prices. Certain shows excluded.
    • 10% discounts are available to students, veterans, seniors (65+), and emergency workers upon proof of I.D. Certain shows excluded.
    • $20 UNDER 20
      • If you are under the age of 20 you can get your regular priced ticket for a Summer Mainstage show for just $20!  Children 15 and under must be accomapied by an adult over 21. 
    • $30 UNDER 30
      • If you are under the age of 30 you can get your regular priced ticket for a Summer Mainstage show for just $30!
    • Other discounts may be available for select performances. For further inquiries please call the box office at 631-725-9500.
  • Accessibility
    • The theater is committed to providing accessible accommodations for patrons with disabilities. Please contact the box office or theater staff in advance to arrange for any necessary accommodations.
  • Electronic Devices:
    • All cell phones, pagers, and other electronic devices must be silenced or turned off completely before entering the theater. Vibrating alerts can be disruptive.
    • The use of cameras, video recorders, and audio recording devices is strictly prohibited during performances, unless explicitly authorized.
  • Theater Etiquette
    • If you must leave your seat, try to do so during a suitable break or intermission. If the show is running, please make your way up the aisles to the Lobby.
    • Remove hats, or other headwear that may block the view of other patrons.
    • Please maintain a quiet and attentive demeanor throughout the performance. Refrain from talking, whispering, or making other disruptive noises.
    • Bay Street welcomes constructive feedback offered in a respectful manner.
    • Theater staff reserves the right to ask any patron who violates these guidelines to leave the theater.
