IMPROV GAMES HOUR! (Ages 11 – 14)

Part of 2nd Saturdays!

$15 for new students, and FREE for anyone who has taken a Bay Street class within the past year! Just call the box office to confirm, and they’ll manually add you to the list.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Get ready to think fast and make bold choices! This one-hour improv workshop invites young performers to jump into a series of energetic games that spark creativity, build confidence, and sharpen performance skills. Students will explore character creation, spontaneous storytelling, active listening, observation, and ensemble building — all through fun, low-pressure exercises designed to keep them on their toes, and build skills. Whether you’re brand-new to improv or already love being onstage, this session is all about embracing play, taking risks, and being in the moment. No prior experience needed — all levels welcome!

ABOUT BETHANY DELLAPOLLA:

Bethany is an actress, director, choreographer, intimacy director (IDC Professionals), acting coach, and teaching artist based in NYC and Long Island. She received her BA in Musical Theatre Performance from SUNY New Paltz, where she was named one of the Outstanding Graduates of her class. She also graduated (with honors), from LIU with her Masters Degree in Childhood Education. Teaching and coaching credits include: Broadway Dance Center (Triple Threat Program), Gateway Playhouse (Acting Faculty/Director/Choreographer), Pierson Middle High School (Director/Choreographer), TADA! Youth Theatre (Director/Choreographer), Westhampton Beach PAC (Choreographer), and NexGen Youth Theatre, her own youth theatre company based in NYC (www.nexgentheatre.com). She has been fortunate to direct and/or choreograph over 50+ shows for adults and young performers as well, such as: Freaky Friday, The Lightning Thief, Cinderella, The 25^th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Into the Woods, The Little Mermaid, Rent, The Prom, Company, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wedding Singer, Spring Awakening, Cabaret, Anything Goes, Annie, Wizard of Oz, Seussical, Beauty and the Beast Jr., Willy Wonka, 13!, Fame, Zombie Prom, and The World Goes Round. Bethany’s students have gone on to book Broadway, Off Broadway, regional productions, TV/Film, and be accepted into top collegiate training programs. As an actress, Bethany has performed in everything from independent film to radio and theatre, what she considers her home. Favorite credits include: Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast  (BroadwayWorld.com nomination – Best Actress in a Musical), Steph in Reasons to Be Pretty  (Broadwayworld.com nomination – Best Actress in a Play), and the Fairy Godmother in a touring production of Cinderella.
