This audition will be run on a first come, first served basis. Doors will open at 9:00AM to begin sign-ups. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
CONTRACT
TYA, $615 weekly minimum
PREPARATION
Prepare one monologue of your choice for the audition. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
SEEKING: Equity actors for roles in FAHRENHEIT 451 (see below). Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend. Actors with local housing are also encouraged to attend.
BREAKDOWN:
Guy Montag: 30s A Fireman. Dedicated to the mission, but is beginning to have questions.
Mildred Montag/Ms. Hudson: 30s. Female Identifying. Montag’s wife. Troubled. Addicted to social media. Doubles as… Ms. Hudson. A book person. Sacrifices her life for her books.
Clarisse McClellan: 20s. Female Identifying. A lover of nature. A book person.
Faber: 50s to 70s. Male Identifying. Clarisse’s grandfather. A book person.
Beatty: 40 to 60. Male Identifying. Captain and visionary leader of the Fireman. An idealogue committed to the eradication of all literature, media, art and independent thought.
Holden/Ensemble: 20 to 35. Male or Female Identifying. Fireman/Book person/EMT
Black/Ensemble: 20 to 35. Male or Female Identifying. Fireman/Book person/EMT
