Biography

Sonnie Betts, born July 13, 2013, discovered her love for acting at the age of
4. She continued to grow as young actor by taking one on one lessons with her outstanding coaches; Michael Baker of Gateway Playhouse, Allen O’Reilly of Bay Street and vocal coach Lydia Sabosto. Sonnie also takes classes at the Gateway, where at the age of 6, she was featured in her first MainStage as Gretl in Sound of Music. Soon after, she appeared in a pilot Harlem: Town Hall. Throughout her short career Sonnie has performed in a wide variety of shows at both WHBPAC and Gateway Playhouse. This is Sonnie’s big debut at Bay Street Theater and she couldn’t be more excited to work with a cast of talented and established actors. Break a leg “Little Girl!”
