The Story.

In 1946, Dutch historian Dr. Jan Romein said "This apparently inconsequential diary by a child, this "de profundis" stammered out in a child's voice, embodies all the hideousness of fascism, more so than all the evidence of Nuremberg put together."  Her chronicle of 25 months spent in hiding during the Holocaust has moved readers and audiences alike, not just because of her beautiful prose and compelling story but because of her passionate hope for a better tomorrow.
