I HAVE CLICKED THE EMAILED LINK AND NOTHING HAPPENED. WHAT DO I DO?

The easiest thing to do is to try opening the link from a different device and/or browser. We suggest Chrome as a browser. Right-click the blue link in your confirmation email and select 'copy link address' and then paste that link in to the address bar of your browser.

If you still have issues starting the stream you can contact boxoffice@baystreet.org

ZOOM: WHAT IS IT? HOW DO I USE IT?

Some post-show live events (i.e. talkbacks) require Zoom be installed in order to access them. A link to access the Zoom content will be made available during the show. If you don't have Zoom you will want to download it beforehand.

For instructions on how to access a meeting once you have Zoom installed please view this brief tutorial.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I WATCH MY VIRTUAL CONTENT?

For Livestreamed events, your only chance to watch the live-streamed virtual content will be on the specific date and time of the event. The date and time will be listed in your email confirmation and on the event website. When you click on your virtual ticket link, you will be directed to the video player. If you are joining the event after it has begun, you will see the event already in progress. If you join the event after the event time or date, you will no longer be able to view the virtual event content. Please remember that while you are able to rewind during a live event that some content (i.e. Talkbacks and Q&A sessions) that are accessible via Zoom happen immediately following the show. Please don't miss it because you've decided to rewind.

For Video on Demand (VOD), you will have a time frame, usually 24 hours, in which you can watch your virtual content at any time within that frame. VOD will not be available before or after that specific time frame. You can watch your virtual content as many times as possible as long as it is available to view. The time frame will be listed on the event website.

CAN I WATCH MY VIRTUAL CONTENT ON MULTIPLE DEVICES AT THE SAME TIME?

You will only be able to experience your virtual content on one device at a time per ticket. We strongly encourage groups that are sharing or watching on multiple devices at the same time, to purchase multiple tickets.

HOW DO I WATCH ON MY TV?

Please note that we are unable to offer troubleshooting assistance for the following options since they are specific to your device models. The easiest way to access the show is on a device where you can just click your ticketing link in this or your purchase confirmation email.

However if you wish to watch on another device you can try one of the following.

1. Casting to TV

Most Smart TVs allow what is called "casting". This allows you to start viewing the stream on one device and at the touch of a button play the stream on another device. Generally your TV and mobile device (phone, laptop, tablet) need to be on the same network. Sometimes an additional device such as a ChromeCast is required to give your TV this capability.

2. Plug in with a USB data cable

Nearly all smartphones and tablets can plug into a TV’s HDMI port using a USB cable like this 6-foot Data Cable for USB-C. Once connected, you can project your phone’s display onto your TV – whether you’re checking out pictures, watching videos, surfing the web, using apps or playing games. All it takes is one cable, so there’s no need to connect via Wi-Fi or remember any passwords.

3. Laptop to TV connection

Start by checking the video-out connection on your laptop and video-in connection on your TV. If they share the same connection, such as HDMI, simply run that cable type from the laptop to the TV. If your devices don’t share a connection, the right adapter can make it work.

Modern TVs offer multiple video inputs, with HDMI being the most popular and highest quality option. To connect a laptop to TV with HDMI, just plug an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on each of the devices. You will then have to change the TV source/input to match that HDMI input.
