Sylvester Manor Educational Farm and the Eastville Community Historical Society will partner to present the fourth annual Black History Month event "Lift Your Voices: A Celebration of Music, Culture & Tradition."
The program will consist of a panel of speakers representing the musical history and traditions from diverse communities including African American and Native American cultures. Panel discussions will explore the intersection and interconnections of musical genres and how cultures and traditions merge creating a universal language of music from Gospel to Blues and Jazz, and from Roots music to tribal rhythms.
The panel discussions and musical presentations will be moderated by Dr. Georgette Grier-Key, Executive Director of ECHS. Reception to follow.

Henry Maxwell Letcher II- East End Jazz DJ, Musician and Jazz historian
Shane Weeks - Member of Shinnecock Nation, Drummer and Musician
Karl Schwarz - Member of New Moon Acoustic Blues Band, Traditional Blues and Gospel musician
