through April 15

Stages, a Children’s Theatre Workshop, Inc., will present three performances of 13, the Broadway Musical About Being Thirteen, at the Bay Street Theatre on Saturday, April 14 at 2:30 and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 PM.

13 premiered on Broadway in 2008 and was the first Broadway show performed by an all teenage cast. With an unforgettable rock score by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, and a book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn., it became a cult teenage musical among young theatergoers everywhere.

When 12-year-old Evan Goldman is forced to move from New York City to a small town in Indiana, he only wants to be popular and survive the year in a new school. Harder than it seems: he soon learns that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.

Stages’ production, directed by Helene Leonard, features 22 young actors.  Please join us for this hilarious, high-energy, coming-of-age musical for anyone who is 13, has been 13 or will be 13!
