Remix Shakespeare           
Have fun playing with Shakespeare.
August 7th – 11th                9:30am – 12:30pm

Come play with some of Shakespeare’s most classic stories and make them your own! Along with a teaching artist, campers will stretch their imaginations and explore creative ways of expressing the popular themes and language of The Bard. The camp will culminate in a presentation of the campers’ original work for family and friends to attend.

Carolann Di Pirro - A WHB local, Carolann is delighted to be back home on the East End after 25 years in NYC and LA. As a professional actor for over 30 years, she has experience working on comedy, drama, classic, contemporary and original works. Her credits include the TV shows Saturday Night Live for 6 seasons, American Dreams and The Sopranos: the films The Confession and The Last Shot, both with fellow Long Islander Alec Baldwin: and numerous stage productions in NY, LA, London including A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Royal Shakespeare Co.’s Almeida Theater and at regional theaters including The Scarlet Letter with Literature Live! at Bay Street this past fall.  One favorite credit is the all women’s sketch comedy troupe Broad Comedy runs at Caroline’s Comedy Club (NY), The Acme Theatre (LA), The Assembly Rooms (Edinburgh, Scotland) and The Stuart Street Playhouse (Boston). She adores serving as a Teaching Artist at the WHB PAC, directing for the YAWP Middle and High School Programs, and taking part in projects, readings, and the Summer Writing Series with Southampton Stony Brook’s directing and writing programs. Carolann heads Di Pirro Tutoring & Test Prep with students across the country and is a graduate of Swarthmore College, American Conservatory Theatre, and the British American Drama Academy. She, her husband, and son are eco-renovating their new old home in Westhampton with their dog, 3 cats, and multiple chickens (and hopefully soon a goat and a pony).
