Judy Gold: 25 Questions For A Jewish Mother
Saturday, October 11
Written by Judy Gold & Kate Moira Ryan, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother won the 2007 GLAAD award for Outstanding New York Theater, and Gold was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance. Ryan & Gold traveled all over the United States interviewing Jewish Mothers by asking each of them 25 Questions. The show ran Off-Broadway for a year and a half and has been performed all over the United States. The NY Times described it best by saying, “Judy Gold captures the audience from the moment she opens her mouth. She seamlessly weaves anecdotes from her own life with snippets from interviews conducted with 50 Jewish mothers across the United States. The result is fiercely funny, honest and moving.” The book by the same name was nominated for the prestigious Quill Award.
