September 15
at 8:00pm

Grammy-nominated pianist/vocalist, Judy Carmichael returns to Bay Street Theater with her quartet for an evening of swing piano, sultry vocals and her signature humor to celebrate her first CD of originals: Can You Love Once More?  Judy & Harry play Carmichael & Allen, a collection of hip, 21st Century Standards!

Judy and her quartet will play songs by Hoagy Carmichael, Harold Arlen, Peggy Lee, the Gershwins and other favorites from the Great American Songbook.

“Judy Carmichael is a great entertainer.  Her playing is masterly and her linking material show her to be a raconteur in the Ustinov mold.”

 --Jonathan James Moore BBC Radio

“Judy Carmichael is an exhilarating positive pianist with a virtually flawless technique.”

 --The New York Times

“Carmichael exhibits a truly remarkable ability to channel (Peggy)Lee's breathy invitingness and her befogged insouciance.”
