Distraught over the loss of his best friend in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, John Ubaldo decided to trade in his high finance Wall Street career for 185 acres of land on the Battenkill River in upstate NY. His goal was to raise delicious and nutritious food and return to healthier farming methods that were used 100 years ago. It is not long before John’s dream of living a simple, traditional agricultural life gets complicated as he comes up against Big Agriculture. True to his beliefs, he becomes a passionate and outspoken activist for the disappearing life of the small town farmer.
For over 40 years, Ken Marsolais has worked in theater, film and the arts and has been honored with both a Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize. His award-winning films include Ronald McDonald: The House That Love Built; Philip C. Curtis: An American Original, a documentary about one of America’s foremost artists; and Each Day a Difference, a film about children and adults with extreme disabilities.
