Black & Sparrow:
Klyph Black & John Sparrow are a New York based acoustic duo who have been performing for years to receptive crowds. In the past they have opened shows for The Subdudes, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Mick Taylor, Taj Mahal, Hot Tuna and many other national acts. They have been joined on stage in the past years with Charles Neville as well as Grammy winner Terrance Simien.
Klyph and John met years ago through a mutual friend while John was working with Johnny Sparrow and the Vidals and Klyph with the band Urgent who was signed to Manhattan Records and produced by Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson. They hit it off, a friendship began and a few years later Black & Sparrow was formed. They performed to sell-out crowds in Switzerland following the release of their first CD “Friend and Partner”.
Klyph wrote songs that have appeared on the TV shows Felicity and Alias. John scored the full-length movies Schmucks and Marie which he also had a major acting role in. In the interim, Klyph joined the Zen Tricksters playing bass guitar, recording and touring nationally. He then teamed up with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer “Donna Jean Godchaux” (Grateful Dead) recording their self-titled CD “Donna Jean & the Tricksters".
Black & Sparrow have taken on a whole new dimension with the addition of a full band behind their two acoustic guitars (Klyph also plays dobro & slide guitar). Randolph A. Hudson lll, a virtuoso on Baritone 6 and 12-string guitars. He has played with the Fugs, Psychedelic Furs and toured with Bongwater and Magnuson/Kramer. Mike Mazzaraco on bass. Mike, a graduate from The Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase, is also currently a studio owner, recording engineer and a multi-instrumentalist. James Benard on drums. James is a professional multi-percussionist who studied with Jack DeJohnette and Tony Williams. He continued his formal musical education at the University of Miami with a major in Applied Percussion, Studio Music and Jazz. Black & Sparrow’s new CD “Second Time Around” is sure to be another milestone in their musical careers.

Hopefully Forgiven; Rock and Roll with a Twang:
Hopefully Forgiven was voted 'Best Band in the Hamptons' by Dan's Papers last year and they recently released their debut album, Play On (recorded in a barn in Sag Harbor, NY) and will begin an intensive ‘15 tour focusing on the Hamtpons and NYC. As a kickoff, they are excited to announce a show at Bay Street Theater (Sag Harbor) on April 18th (with Black and Sparrow).
The brotherhood/rivalry that is Hopefully Forgiven began shortly after a chance meeting through a craigslist ad when Brad offered his Brooklyn railroad apartment to Telly in exchange for watching his dog. After sizing each other up and realizing they shared a passion for music and surfing, Brad said "I think this will work. My house is yours-- you can even play my Martin if you want....just don't touch ma boots."
Hopefully Forgiven is a hard drivin’, mellow vibin', harmony soaked roller coaster cocktail of 100 years of American music and spirits. Singer/songwriters Telly Karoussos, and 'Alabama Brad' Penuel (by way of Nashville) deliver big harmonies, raw guitars and authentic songwriting that transcends genre and has attracted a devoted multigenerational fan base.
Backed by Bryan Beyer, a 5th gen drumming phenom, and Big Bad Ben Goodale and his signature "Flat Back Bass", Hopefully Forgiven is a crowd-pleasing, venue-filling favorite pumping out original music from a little barn on the east end of Long Island.
