Thursday, July 30 through Saturday, August 1

8 pm: Motherhood Out Loud, a new play conceived and produced by veteran Broadway producers Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein, and directed by Obie Award winner Lisa Peterson. Motherhood Out Loud celebrates the personal, funny, diverse, exciting, touching, and altogether extraordinary experiences that unite us all. From step moms to single moms, immigrant moms to grandmothers, new moms to empty nesters, Motherhood Out Loud reveals the raw emotions and rocky roads we travel in life. An unprecedented collaboration of American women writers—from theatre, television, fiction, and non-fiction—makes this play a singular theatrical event. Like Love Letters and The Vagina Monologues, it will be performed by an ever changing celebrity cast.

With Sarita Choudhury, Carson Kressley and more!

All tickets $40. To purchase tickets call the Bay Street box office at 631-725-9500.

Wednesday, August 19 through Saturday, August 22 and Wednesday, August 26 through Saturday, August 29

8 pm: Miss Margarida’s Way, with Julie Halston, directed by Daniel Goldstein. Subtitled “Tragicomic Monologue for an Impetuous Woman,” this satirical play by Brazil’s Roberto Athayde is set in what looks like a schoolroom. Miss Margarida is an eight grade teacher, and the audience is the class, whom she alternately harangues, confides in, attempts to seduce, and tries to teach. Miss Margarida represents power: of the government, the church, the family—raw power in all its forms. A founding member of Charles Busch’s legendary theatre company, Julie Halston starred with him in many productions, including Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. Her many Broadway and off-Broadway credits include Hairspray, Twentieth Century, Gypsy, White Chocolate, and The Vagina Monologues. Ms. Halston is perhaps best known as Bitsy Von Muffling on Sex and the City.

All tickets $40. To purchase tickets call the Bay Street box office at 631-725-9500.
