Posted: Tuesday, January 31st Last fall, Bay Street Theatre announced it would not be renewing the current lease when it expires in May of 2013. Theatre administration, board members, volunteer committees and local government and school officials are working feverishly to look at the options in Sag Harbor as well as in Southampton. A web petition went out from the Southampton Chamber of Commerce in late January asking people to sign it to show support for Bay Street to move to Southampton. In just 3 short days, it garnered over 400 signatures, and it's still growing. It was a kind gesture and much appreciated. A decision has still not been made. Keep watching for more information!
As a reminder to everyone, the 2012 Mainstage Season will still be in the current space on the corner of Bay and Main Streets. Subscriptions will be available again soon!
