April Kids Vacation Camps

through April 9

The camps includes instruction in acting, singing, dance, performance & more. In addition there are fun, creative theater games and improvisations to help develop skills and to encourage students to stretch their abilities as young actors. Students will learn standard songs and choreography, and are also encouraged to create their own original work. The camp ends in a performance on Thursday at the theater for friends and family.

The four day camp will be led by Karen Hochstedler and include instruction in acting, singing, dance, performance, and more. In addition, there are fun, creative theater games and improv to help develop skills and to encourage students to stretch their abilities as young actors. Students will learn standard songs and choreography, and are also encouraged to create their own original work. The camp ends in a performance at the theater for friends and family.

Laughter and learning is what kids will enjoy in working with Karen. Her broad experience, teaching and coaching all ages, lends her the passion for developing necessary foundational skills in music and acting. She is a fun-loving person who relates well with kids. Over the past 20 years, Karen has found a multitude of ways to participate in the world of music and theater, while raising six kids alongside her loving husband. She is an accomplished pianist, a singer, actress, photographer, writer and loves working with young people in the creative arts. She finds great delight in helping young people discover their gifts and talents, and especially enjoys seeing them gain confidence about who they are, as they learn and grow.
